For all Airplane Pilots

This is a really well put together and thoroughly entertaining series of videos.
It is actually a collection of 21 videos put together on to 10 DVDs.  The DVDs
present the subject matter in a light but serious manner making the content fun to
watch and easy to understand. You can't say about about many other FAA videos. These,
though, are really great.  Absolutely recommended to all fixed wing pilots young and old alike.

Good quality videos. Supplied in a soft cover case..

DISK 1 *

On landings - Part I (Very watchable, tongue in cheek look at subject matter on all 3 videos.)
Running time : 58 minutes
Cross-control stall and undershooting. Discusses the hard landing and loss of directional control. Shows how these accidents happen and how they can be avoided by proper techniques.

On landings - Part II
Running time : 58 minutes

Long landing and poorly executed go-around. Shows proper techniques to avoid hazardous long landings and to execute a safe go-around.

On landings - Part III
Running time : 53 minutes
Discusses gear up landing, landing gear emergencies, landing on wet, icy or snow covered runways and landing at night.

DISK 2

Icing for General Aviation Pilots
Running time : 55 minutes
Icing for General Aviation Pilots presents practical information to help pilots avoid ice, detect ice, minimize exposure and safely exit icing conditions during each phase of flight. The effects of icing on aircraft performance, control upsets (wing and tail stalls), and recovery procedures are also discussed. Includes extra video on Tailplane Icing. 23 mins.

DISK 3

Cockpit Resource Management

Running Time 23 Min
This is a great film with an intro. about the United Flight 237 that lost all its hydraulics and how the crew handled the situation. Complete live radio transmissions between ATC and the crew and discussions afterwards on how CRM saved many lives. Riveting video.

DISK 4

Runway Safety, Back to Basics Trigger Ttapes

Running Time 30 Min
1 Focused on Business
Two general aviation pilots are not concentrating on their aircraft operations and lose situational awareness on the aircraft.
2. Say Again
Two ramp safety issues involving an aircraft being towed sand a delivery to an operator
3. Confused
An air carrier aircraft and controllers are not clearly comminicating and become dangerously confused as to the situation on the airport
4 Anxious and Harried
An air taxi client late for his appointment becomes a distraction for the flight crew.

DISK 5

Operations At Airfields with Control Towers.

Running Time 35 Min

All pilots should be very familiar with the operation of the ATC system and in particular control towers at both large and small airports. Now, with the new security restrictions it is becoming very diffcult to visit FAA facilities, so the odd trip to the tower is a thing of the past. This video is the next best thing for those who have yet to be "called" to the tower.

DISK 6

Loss of Control

Running Time 20 Min

Avoiding Aircraft Upsets.
When is an aircraft in control and out of control. You may think you know the difference, but wait until you see this video.

DISK 8

Your Personal Flight (Very cheesy acting but excellent learning content)
Running Time 25 Min

Back to Basics Video.
3 Part Training Series

Effects of heat stress and dehydration, alcool consuption, fatigue, hypoxia and flying after scuda diving.
The cosequences of flying with a cold or sinus blockage, the possible effects of taking medication containg alcohol or antihistamines.

DISK 8

Runway Safety, Heads Up, Hold Short, Fly Right.
Running Time 30 Min
Hosted by the world renowned patty Wagstaff this video had just been released. It features a great presentation of how pilots should be aware of all the hazards, markings and procedures when operating at airports large and small. Very well done, lots to learn...a must for all of us.

DISK 9

Flight Standards Service

Running Time
33 Min
This is a very interesting video about FAA history, the Flight Standards Service and how the whole system runs and it's effect on general aviation. All the background and behind the scenes stuff. This is a good movie to watch.

DISK 10 *

Pilot's Weather Series
Running Time 118 Min
Weather and Pre-Flight Planning, Go/No-Go Decision Making, Evaluating In Flight Weather. An absolute must for all pilots. Great inflight stuff with scenarios we all have been in or might encounter. Not the usual weather blah blah. Scenarios and situations to make you think. Made about 10 years ago but still good watching.

* Due to limited DVD space Disk 1 and 10 videos have a slight loss of DVD quality.

Utterly total unconditional money-back guarantee with every product.
